<trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
<title>Introduction</title><p>Introduction. Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP) is the most common interstitial lung disease (ILD), which is characterized by the development of progressive pulmonary fibrosis (PPF).</p>
<title>Aim</title><p>Aim. To study the relationship between monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF-A) and interleukin-10 (IL-10) in serum and PPF criteria in patients with HP.</p>
<title>Materials and methods</title><p>Materials and methods. The study included 51 patients with GP, the diagnosis of PPF was established based on the diagnostic criteria of the American Thoracic Society (2022), and 12 patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Quantitative determination of the level of MCP-1, VEGF-A and IL-10 in the blood serum was performed using Vector-Best kits (Russia) on the enzyme immunoassay analyzer “Hydro Flex” (TECAN, Austria). Statistical data processing was performed using Statistica 10.0 software.</p>
<title>Results</title><p>Results. Baseline levels of MCP-1 and IL-10 (7.11 ± 2.26 vs. 6.53 ± 2.62 pg/ml) in the blood serum were comparable in IPF and GP with PPF (p = 0.36 and p = 0.18, respectively). MCP-1 levels were significantly higher in IPF and GP with PPF (291.3 ± 68.4 vs. 270.9 ± 54.2 pg/ml) compared to GP without PFF (220,9 ± 42,8 pg/ml; p = 0.005 and p = 0.008). A negative correlation was found between MCP-1 and IL-10 levels and dynamics FVC and DLCO over 12 months.</p>
<title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion. Increased serum MCP-1 and IL-10 levels in patients with PPF in GP are statistically significantly associated with a decrease in FVC ≥ 5% and DLCO ≥ 10% over a 12-month period.</p>
