Актуальность данного заболевания отражена в статистических данных: ежегодно в мире до 500 млн человек заболевают гриппом, из них 2 млн случаев заканчиваются смертельным исходом. Если рассматривать ситуацию в рамках российской действительности, то ежегодно регистрируют от 27,3 до 41,2 млн человек, заболевших гриппом и ОРВИ. Каждый 6-7-й россиянин вовлекается в эпидемический процесс.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Influenza is an acute infectious disease caused by influenza virus (Orthomyxoviridae family) which affects up to 15% of the world population in the cold season. The relevance of the disease is reflected in the statistics: every year, up to 500 million people get sick with influenza globally, of which 2 million cases are fatal. The situation in Russia is reflected in the following figures: 27.3 to 41.2 million people get sick with influenza and ARVI annually.
