По оценкам экспертов Всемирной организации здравоохранения (ВОЗ), МС приобрел характер «пандемии ХХI века» и в настоящее время рассматривается в качестве одной из основных проблем общественного здравоохранения [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit8">8</xref>]. Примерно 30–40% населения среднего и старшего возраста страдает метаболическим синдромом и имеет повышенный риск преждевременной смерти от сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний и сахарного диабета (СД) 2-го типа [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit9">9</xref>]. </p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Metabolic syndrome (Mets), obesity and overweight are widely distributed worldwide [1–7]. According to experts of the world health organization (who), MS acquired the character of a «pandemic of the XXI century» and is currently regarded as one of the major public health problems [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit8">8</xref>].
