К настоящему времени завершены клинические исследования II и III фазы, которые показали хорошую переносимость, эффективность и относительную безопасность терифлуномида. В плацебо-контролируемых клинических исследованиях III фазы показан значимый эффект терифлуномида в отношении частоты обострений и прогрессии инвалидизации. Новый пероральный препарат Абаджио может способствовать увеличению приверженности к долгосрочной терапии рассеянного склероза.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article discusses the prospects for the use of the new drug teriflunomide for the treatment of patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. By now, phase II and III clinical trials are completed which demonstrated good tolerability, efficacy and relative safety of teriflunomide. The TEMSO and TOWER trials showed a decrease in the incidence of relapse which was a reason for hospitalization (by 59 and 37%, respectively), as well as in the incidence of exacerbations requiring treatment with corticosteroids (by 34 and 36%, respectively).</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>рассеянный склероз</kwd><kwd>препараты</kwd><kwd>изменяющие течение рассеянного склероза</kwd><kwd>терифлуномид</kwd><kwd>multiple sclerosis</kwd><kwd>multiple sclerosis sease-modifying medications</kwd><kwd>teriflunomide</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Рассеянный склероз.
