Терапевтические мероприятия при лечении пациентов с МС направлены на основные звенья патогенеза синдрома и его осложнений: ожирение, инсулинорезистентность, нарушение углеводного обмена, дислипидемию и артериальную гипертензию.  Между тем свободной остается ниша для препаратов мультитаргетного действия, одновременно влияющих на несколько факторов риска, объединенных одной патогенетической основой. В качестве возможного кандидата можно рассматривать L-карнитин. В обзоре описаны кардиопротективный, нейропротективный, нефропротективный и гепатопротективный эффекты L-карнитина, отмечено его благоприятное влияние на углеводный, жировой и белковый обмены, что позволяет рассматривать препарат в качестве универсального регулятора метаболических процессов в организме у пациентов с МС и различными его проявлениями.</p><sec><title> </title><p> </p></sec><sec><title> </title><p> </p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Patients with metabolic syndrome (MS) have an increased risk of developing cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes mellitus, which makes it necessary not only to identify, but also to timely correct these conditions. Therapeutic measures in the treatment of patients with MS are directed to the main links of the pathogenesis of the syndrome and its complications: obesity, insulin resistance, violation of carbohydrate metabolism, dyslipidemia and arterial hypertension. Meanwhile, the niche remains for multi-potent drugs, simultaneously affecting several risk factors, united by a single pathogenetic basis. As a possible candidate, L-carnitine can be considered.
