<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Acute respiratory diseases, which include a whole list of diseases caused by different types of viruses, account for the lion’s share of diseases in paediatric practice. The complications of these diseases are especially dangerous. If the treatment is chosen and prescribed in a proper and timely manner, it prevents serious and sometimes irreparable consequences. It is the paediatrician, who first diagnoses the disease and determines the optimal treatment tactics. In his interview, Vasily Mikhailovich Delyagin, MD, Professor of the Department of Polyclinic and Emergency Paediatrics of Pirogov Russian Research Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia (Moscow), Head of the Department of Clinical Physiology, Professor of the Department of Paediatrics and Health Organization of Dmitri Rogachev National Research Center, told us about the practical skills and guidelines for the treatment of complicated ARVI, especially for the treatment of otitis.</p></trans-abstract></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Бойкова Н. И.
