<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>COPD exacerbations occur in almost all patients, and half of patients in the Russian Federation (52%) have two or more exacerbations per year or require urgent admission to hospital. COPD exacerbations come from increased acute inflammation in the respiratory tract of a patient under the influence of many factors. Modern pharmacotherapy provides the physician with several options in reducing the number of exacerbations. This review provides evidence about the maximum reduction in exacerbation risk due to the administration of tiotropium/olodaterol combination or triple therapy.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ХОБЛ</kwd><kwd>обострения</kwd><kwd>комбинации бронхолитиков длительного действия</kwd><kwd>тиотропий/олодатерол</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>COPD</kwd><kwd>exacerbations</kwd><kwd>dual bronchodilators</kwd><kwd>tiotropium/olodaterol</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Берингер Ингельхайм, ООО</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">From the Global Strategy for the Diagnosis, Management and Prevention of COPD, Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) 2018.
