Одним из заболеваний, связанных с развитием подобных инволюционных процессов, является простой атрофический насморк (rhinitis atrophica simplex). Атрофический ринит  — заболевание, являющееся классическим примером хронического патологического процесса, который может носить диффузный или локальный характер и может сочетаться с атрофическими изменениями в носоглотке и других отделах глотки и гортани.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Atrophy is the medical term for shrinkage in the size of an organ, tissue, or a single cell with a corresponding decrease or failure of their function. Rhinitis atrophica simplex is one of the diseases associated with the development of such involutional processes.
