Кашель является одним из самых распространенных симптомов. Кашель не только сопровождает заболевания дыхательной системы, но и присутствует при заболеваниях сердечно-сосудистой системы, пищеварительной системы, ЛОР-органов и др. Это обусловлено как непосредственным раздражением кашлевых рецепторов при заболеваниях, так и стимуляцией кашлевого центра. В схему диагностического поиска входят заболевания эндокринной системы, системные заболевания, поражение средостения, неврологическая патология и др. Для диагностики имеет значение не только лабораторно-инструментальное обследование, но и внимательная оценка характеристик кашля. Наибольшего внимания требует диагностика хронического кашля и исключение жизнеугрожающих причин. В статье представлены обновленные рекомендации CHEST по диагностическому поиску кашля и рекомендации по алгоритму ведения пациентов с основными причинами кашля. Рассмотрены основные группы препаратов, применяемые для купирования кашля.

Cough is one of the most common symptoms. Cough not only accompanies the respiratory system diseases, but also occurs in diseases of the cardiovascular system, the digestive system, the upper respiratory tract, etc. This is initiated both by the direct irritation of cough receptors in diseases and stimulation of the cough center. The diagnostic search pattern includes endocrine system diseases, systemic diseases, mediastinal lesions, neurological pathology, etc. Not only laboratory and instrumental examination is important for diagnosis, but also a careful assessment of cough characteristics. The diagnosis of chronic cough and the exclusion of lifethreatening causes demand the most attention. The article presents updated CHEST cough guidelines for diagnostic cough search and management algorithms for establishing the main causes of cough. The main groups of drugs used to relieve cough are considered.
