Так, согласно последним данным, в мире регистрируется 709 млн новых случаев ОСО ежегодно, причем больше половины случаев приходится на детей младше 5 лет [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit1">1</xref>]. Считается, что 80% детей заболевает ОСО в первые 3 года жизни [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit2">2</xref>]. В России заболеваемость ОСО составляет 10 млн человек в год, что составляет 30% среди всех пациентов с заболеванием органа слуха [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit3">3</xref>].</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Acute otitis media (AOM) today is one of the most frequent reasons for seeking medical aid among adults and especially children, and a big social and economic challenge asking for immediate solution. According to recent data, every year 709 million new cases of AOM are registered globally, with over half of cases occurring in children under 5 years [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit1">1</xref>]. 80% of children are assumed to acquire AOM in the first 3 years of life [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit2">2</xref>].
