По разным данным, распространенность легочной гипертензии может достигать 50 : 1 000 000 населения. Наиболее подвержены развитию идиопатической легочной гипертензии молодые женщины в возрасте от 20 до 40 лет. У мужчин это заболевание встречается реже. В последние годы изучению этого вопроса уделяется значительное внимание, и проблема своевременной и эффективной диагностики и лечения легочной гипертензии является весьма актуальной.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Pulmonary hypertension is a group of diseases characterized by progressive increase in pulmonary vascular resistance leading to right ventricular failure and premature mortality. According to various sources, the prevalence of pulmonary hypertension may reach up to 50 per 1,000,000 population. Young females aged 20 to 40 years are the most likely candidates for idiopathic pulmonary hypertension. In men, the disease is less common.
