Abstract

We have the experience in diagnosis and treatment of 274 patients with chemodectomas of the head and neck (glomus pyramidalis, vagale, tympanum and jugulare tumors). Early diagnosis of tumors is quite complicated. It is difficult to determine the extent and direction of growth of multiple primary tumors. The main way of treatment is still surgery. However, removing the tumors is associated with a risk of intensive intra- and postoperative bleeding.
