Self-monitoring of glycemia as a guarantee of effective diabetes management

Abstract
The main goal of diabetes therapy is to achieve normal or near normal levels of blood sugar, timely diagnosis, prevention and treatment of late complications of the disease which results in a decrease in the working ability, deterioration in the quality of life of patients, early disability and increased mortality.
