Витамин D и острые респираторные инфекции: профилактика или лечение?

Аннотация
Витамин D обладает большим количеством биологических эффектов благодаря влиянию на рецептор витамина D, который присутствует в большинстве тканей организма. Возможная роль витамина D при инфекциях объясняется его влиянием на механизмы врожденного и приобретенного иммунного ответа. Немаловажным действием витамина D является также подавление им воспалительных процессов. Поскольку дефицит витамина D многими учеными относится к так называемым «сезонным стимуляторам» развития острых респираторных вирусных инфекций (ОРВИ), особенный интерес вызывают возможности профилактического и терапевтического применения витамина D в сезон ОРВИ и гриппа. Наиболее важным фактом, доказывающим возможную протективную роль витамина D при гриппе и других острых респираторных инфекциях, является 25-гидроксикальциферол-стимулированная продукция антимикробных пептидов, таких как дефенсин и кателицидин. Эти эндогенные пептиды действуют напрямую, разрушая не только микробные патогены, но и вирусы, в т. ч. вирус гриппа.
