Abstract
Inflammatory diseases of the ear are among the most acute problems in modern otorhinolaryngology. In outpatient practice 38% of patients have otitis, and the proportion of patients with otitis externa is 50% on average [3, 7]. The incidence of various external ear disorders tends to increase, caused by stressful external conditions, extensive, uncontrolled use of drugs that lead to immunological changes in the body, and a growing number of allergic patients.

Abstract
The article presents the results of a study to investigate microbial flora in various parts of the middle ear in children with chronic suppurative otitis media. The study results demonstrated high level of pathogenic resistance to antibiotics in all patients with severe destructive changes of the middle ear. Treatment for such patients includes 2nd and 3rd generation cephalosporins combined with fluoroquinolones locally.

Abstract
Acute otitis media (AOM) today is one of the most frequent reasons for seeking medical aid among adults and especially children, and a big social and economic challenge asking for immediate solution. According to recent data, every year 709 million new cases of AOM are registered globally, with over half of cases occurring in children under 5 years [1]. 80% of children are assumed to acquire AOM in the first 3 years of life [2]. In Russia, the incidence of AOM is 10 million people per year and 30% of all patients with hearing organ disorders [3].

Abstract
120 patients with deviated nasal septum, hypertrophic rhinitis and chronic tonsillitis (TAF I, II) after elective surgeries - septoplasty with sparing lower turbinotomy and tonsillectomy with combined endotrachal anesthesia - were examined and showed the signs of the initial transient xerostomia. There were no patients with symptomatic or late stage xerostomia. The clinical studies demonstrated the safety, efficiency and convenience of use of Hypozalix spray after ENT surgery. The medicine can effectively eliminate the symptoms of xerostomia and is well tolerated. Hypozalix spray facilitates postoperative oral care and reduces the risk of complications associated with xerostomia in the postoperative period.

Abstract
The number of permanent cannula wearers - has increased recently [1, 9]. Etiological factors contributing to an increase in the number of patients with tracheostomas are concomitant injuries to hollow neck organs, postintubation tracheal or laryngeal stenosis, surgical interventions on the neck, cancer of the upper respiratory tract, severe somatic diseases deteriorating the vital functions - breathing and food passage, which require repair surgery on the respiratory and digestive tracts. Despite successes in laryngotracheal surgery, failed or inefficient restorative surgical treatment requires a significant number of patients to wear a cannula on permanent basis [4-6]. Tracheostoma is a risk for the patient, while failure to provide adequate medical care and monitoring by the doctor can be life-threatening [8, 10, 11].

Abstract
The problem of hearing loss and deafness in children is of great social importance due to the increasing incidence of hearing impairments. The reasons are multiple, though the primary is the progress of medical science which contributes to the growth of population at risk for hearing loss: premature infants and children with genetic pathologies [1]. Diagnosis of hearing loss in young children is of particular importance: in 85% of children hearing disorder is innate or arises in the first year of life, i.e. before speech development [2].

Abstract
The mucous membrane of the nasal cavity is the opening part of the respiratory tract which has a number of functions among which protection is the most important. Once in the nasal cavity, the inhaled air is mechanically cleaned of dust pollutants, humidified and warmed. About 10 thousand litres of air pass through the nose during a day. The nasal mucosa also hinders penetration of pathogens (bacteria, fungi, viruses) into the lungs.

Abstract
Medical histories and results of examinations of 165 patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome were analyzed. The role of sleep deprivation, innervation of the pharynx and rapid weight gain in different age groups in the genesis of the syndrome was demonstrated. The details of 165 case histories of the patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and results of their cardiorespiratory examinations are analyzed. Role of chronic sleep deprivation, pharyngeal innervation disturbances and fast body mass growth in syndrome genesis in different age groups is discussed.

Abstract
The article shares the key epidemiological data on the prevalence of neurotic disorders in ENT practice. The relationship of psycho-emotional disorders with cochleovestibular disturbances and upper respiratory tract paresthesia is demonstrated. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of biofeedback techniques in multimodal treatment of 66 patients complaining of lump in throat, tinnitus aurium and/or dizziness against the background of changes in the psychosomatic status and failure of the previous conservative or surgical treatment. The study found that biofeedback helps to significantly reduce pathological symptoms, decrease the associated neurotic symptoms and the frequency of repeated visits.
