Abstract
The article discusses the pathophysiology of CHF; it is postulated, based on the literature review, that HR is an independent risk factor for chronic heart failure. Evidence-based medicine reasonably suggests using the selective β-adrenoceptor antagonist Bisogamma (generic Bisoprolol). The authors presented own experience in treating 95 patients with CHF and, using data from dynamic observations, demonstrated the role of heart rate as an independent risk factor that determines the quality of life and prognosis, through modulation of the left ventricular diastolic function and the pumping activity of the heart.
Nitrates in the treatment of patients with coronary artery disease. The role of aerosol formulations

Abstract
Nitrates have been commonly used in the treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease (CVD) for about 150 years. However, the feasibility and safety of nitrates in cardiology remains a matter of debate till today. Among CVDs, coronary artery disease (CAD) and its complications remain a major cause of death and disability. Thus, in Russia in 2006, mortality from diseases of the circulatory system accounted for 56.5% of overall mortality, with about half of cases accounting for CAD [1]. Stable angina is the most widespread clinical form of CAD.

Abstract
Cost reduction associated with the use of rivaroxaban compared with the enoxaparin + warfarin combination for for deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary thromboembolism when treated in the inpatient setting. The choice of the cost reduction method is conditioned by the evidence from the randomized controlled studies EINSTEIN DVT and EINSTEIN PE, stating that rivaroxaban is no less effective compared with enoxaparin in combination with warfarin. The difference in the cost of the drugs is calculated from the healthcare perspective taking into account the risk of major bleeding. The price values were sourced from public procurement tenders (zakupki.gov.ru) in quarters I-IV 2013 and quarter I 2014. Costs associated with the treatment of major bleeding were defined on the basis of the obligatory medical insurance rates for Moscow in 2013. The authors demonstrated that use of rivaroxaban compared with enoxaparin and warfarin results in cost savings for the medicinal treatment of DVT and PTE in the amount of 2,020.71 and 3,353.35 rubles per patient, respectively. The revealed pattern is resistant to real-life fluctuations in prices for medicines.

Abstract
Medical castration with LHRH agonists is a significant trend in the treatment of locally advanced and metastatic prostate cancer (PC). The article is devoted to the effectiveness of synthetic LHRH agonist buserelin (Buserelin-depo) in the treatment of patients with hormone dependent PC. Administration of Buserelin-depot results in a decrease of the prostate-specific antigen levels, stable reduction of serum testosterone to postcastration level, reduction in the size of the prostate and fewer voiding dysfunction symptoms without any serious side effects.

Abstract
240 cases of obstructive jaundice treated in the surgical department of City Clinical Hospital No. 50 of the Moscow Department of Health between 2009 and 2012 were analyzed. In 157 cases minimally invasive treatment methods were used at the first stage of therapy. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography was found to be the most feasible method. The type of intervention was not possible in a significant number of cases (43 patients), for which external percutaneous biliary drainage was performed and proved to be successful in a majority of cases. Jaundice disappeared within 7 days depending on the basic level of bilirubinemia and the nature of the pathology.

Abstract
The article describes the arthroscopic reconstructive surgical technique for the correction of anterior cruciate ligament in the instability of the knee joint; the expected long-term results of plastic repair of the anterior cruciate ligament and results of own observations are presented; different protocols of prophylactic anticoagulation therapy in the early postoperative period are compared. The obtained data demonstrates comparable efficacy of tableted medicines and traditional injectable drug forms for the prevention of thromboembolic complications.

Abstract
Intensive care unit is considered today a high risk zone for nosocomial infections. Gram-positive microflora, especially in specialized surgical units, could be a major factor for the development of nosocomial infectious complications which determine the severity of patient's condition, length of stay in the intensive care unit and in-hospital mortality [13].
